Canada Games Council Launches Alumni Database

Canada Games Council Launches Alumni Database

May 8, 2017

The Canada Games Council (CGC) has announced the launch of their Alumni Database (www.canadagames.ca/alumni). The web based platform will allow users to access information about past Games participants including which Games they participated in, which delegation they represented, and which sport they competed in.

“This impressive system will allow users to get all the information they need regarding past participants of the Canada Games,” said Tom Quinn, Canada Games Council Chairman. “Our staff and KIMIK iT have worked extensively on this project for quite some time and we’re thrilled to now be able to showcase it to our audience.”

Jacob McInnis, Sport and Games Coordinator at the CGC, spearheaded the project alongside KIMIK iT.

“As part of our continued support of the CGC and the Canada Games Movement, we at GEMS.pro are honoured to launch the Alumni Information Management System," said Ian Wennerfeldt, CEO of KIMIK iT. "This comprehensive web based platform will be used to celebrate and bring to the forefront the historical sport related data around Games participants going back to 1967, while enabling the Council to evolve this administrative tool to encompass future games data. AIMS ensures that the archived Games data can be done so in a familiar, consistent and trusted method – while providing the CGC with the flexibility to shape the system moving forward. Go and explore the 65,000 + athletes who have been a part of the Canada Games movement!"
