The heat wave continues! On Day 3 we saw the sun beat down on some intense action. Athletics, Diving, Triathlon and Rowing all began while Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Beach Volleyball and Sailing kept gliding along. Here’s what the day looked like…
Ready, set, Athletics!
First day of Athletics started with a bang. Both women and men were competing in everything from the 100m prelims to the Long Jump, Pole Vault and Wheelchair Para.

Soccer’s still kicking it
Women’s Soccer at Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex is where the crowds are packing it in right now. Even under the scorching sun, the women were on fire and so were their friends, families and super fans.

The art of the Games
Catch Peter Farmer painting athletes while they compete for #artofthegames. Yesterday he was at Basketball following the Quebec vs Yukon game, today he’s at Athletics at 1:00 p.m. Next Tuesday, you’ll find him at Swimming at 6:00 p.m.
They’re proud, they’re loud, get used to it
From far and wide, the fans at the Games are bringing it.
Three cheers for our volunteers
For keeping those smiles going and helping out one and all in the blistering heat. You’re rocking it.
Best of fest
The Festival starts back up again tomorrow at The Forks. It’s FREE.
