Hot shots: Day 6 in Photos

By Kirsten Neil

On Day 6 we sprinted into action. Quebec scored a Gold in Women’s Soccer, Baseball was striking on all cylinders at Shaw Park, Rowing was gliding its way into Kenora’s heart, and two sprinters stole the show at Athletics. Oh, and PEI brought an east coast kitchen party into the mix at Festival. Here’s how good the day looked...

She shoots, she scores!

What a week of footy! Congrats to all Women’s Soccer teams for showing us your intense gameplay. You’ve been a blast to watch. And a BIG congrats to Team Quebec for taking home the GOLD!

Take me out to the ballgame

We don’t mean to be homerish, but we’re just thrilled to see Team Manitoba in the Gold Medal game tonight against our prairie rivals, Team Saskatchewan! We’re going to miss you, Baseball, you’ve been one hot ticket all week.

Athletics

The third day of Athletics was a nail-biter. The Men’s 100m sprint came down to a photo finish. Team Ontario's Karson Kowalchuk edged out Jerome Blake from Team British Columbia by a hair.

Niibin is everywhere!

Niibin’s a camera hog, so if you see him, get in a photo with him. He obviously cannot get enough of it!
