Nova Scotia’s most successful Games were the Canada Summer Games in 2022 and 2013, where they won 56 medals, and the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island, where they won 24 medals.
Team Nova Scotia has won the Centennial Cup (awarded to the Province/Territory with the greatest improvement from the preceding same season Games) five times: in 1975, 1981, 2001, 2011 and 2023.
Nova Scotia has been awarded the Jack Pelech Award four times, in 1987 (shared with Team Newfoundland and Labrador), 2011, 2013 and 2023. The award is given to the Province/Territory that best combines competitive performance, good sportsmanship and a spirit of fair play, cooperation, and friendship. In addition, Nova Scotia has won the Claude Hardy Award (an award that recognizes the talent and dedication of a Provincial/Territorial Mission team) twice, in 2001 (the first time it was awarded) and in 2003.
