The 2015 Canada Winter Games were the first taste of high-level multi-sport competition for many young canadian athletes.
Now, one year later, some of them will take the experience they gained last year in Prince George and use it during the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway starting this week-end.
15 of the 44 athletes (only including Canada Games sports) who will compete in Norway represented their Province at last year's Canada Winter Games.

Won gold in the 3 x 6 km Relay Female for Team BC
Ben Churchill - Biathlon
Won gold in the 15 km Individual Male for Team Alberta
Won silver in the 3 x 7.5 Relay Male for Team Alberta
Will be the Flag Bearer for Team Canada at the Youth Olympics
Levi Nadlersmith - Cross-Country Skiing
Finished 6th in the 4 x 5 km Relay Male for Team Manitoba
Mary Fay and Karlee Burgess - Curling
Won silver for Team Nova Scotia
Sterling Middleton and Tyler Tardi - Curling
Won bronze for Team BC
Zachary Lagha and Marjorie Lajoie - Figure Skating
Won gold for Team Quebec in Dance Novice Mix
