Québec, February 12, 2024 – The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is pleased to launch its very first recruitment campaign today. The Society is aiming to hire six passionate individuals from sports and events backgrounds to fill key positions within its leadership team, specifically in the areas of Games planning, administration, and communications.
"Recruiting these talents marks a significant milestone in planning this major event," says Marie-Hélène St-Onge, CEO of the 2027 Canada Games Host Society. "In Québec City, we have world-class sports facilities, recognized expertise in welcoming visitors, and a certain talent for electrifying crowds. We are therefore seeking high caliber collaborators who share our desire to create memorable Games that will thrill athletes and visitors alike."
Background
Last November, the Host Society appointed Marie-Hélène St-Onge as CEO of the organization. St-Onge previously held the position of Director of Leisure, Sports, and Community Life Services for the City of Québec.
Hiring these six new talents will enable the Host Society to plan the Games effectively, and eventually assemble the entire team that will ensure the event's success. Ultimately, the 2027 Canada Games Host Society will rely on a team of approximately 70 employees in Québec City.
The Host Society intends to employ a qualified team that embodies the values of diversity and inclusion. Kindness and collaboration are valued to build healthy and positive professional relationships. The Society offers numerous benefits for the well-being of its team, including a flexible work environment, a program encouraging an active lifestyle, and of course, an exciting challenge.
