Canada Games Alumni at Paris Olympics

The Canada Games Council (CGC) is proud of the role the Canada Games play in long term athlete development, sparking greatness along the high performance pathway and fuelling success on the world stage.

The Paris 2024 Olympics begin on Friday, July 26, and Canada Games alumni will be well-represented.

“As the largest amateur multi-sport event in Canada, we have the privilege of witnessing these athletes compete for their provinces and territories at a critical point in their development,” CGC President & CEO Kelly-Ann Paul said. “To see so many of our alumni successfully take the next step and compete for Team Canada at the Olympics - it makes us incredibly proud of the work we do in conjunction with our Partners.

Best of luck and congratulations to all Canada Games alumni competing at Paris 2024! We will be cheering you on, and we wish for each of you your best performance yet.”

Canada Games alumni make up 103 of 316 athletes on Team Canada’s final roster, representing every province in the country. Some athletes are returning to the Olympics as veterans, while others are making their Olympic debut after competing at the Canada Games as recently as 2022.
